Julie joined PEFC UK in March 2026 and has over 26 years’ experience in the timber and fibre industry, providing technical expertise that supports organisations in meeting certification, regulatory and responsible sourcing requirements. She has worked with more than 600 chain of custody-certified companies ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises to large, complex organisations, giving her a strong understanding of the different operational challenges and management systems that best suit each business.
With a background in manufacturing and health and safety, Julie brings a practical, real-world perspective to technical compliance. She is known for her clear communication, collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement, and plays a key role in supporting both colleagues and clients in interpreting and applying technical requirements. Her experience spans timber traceability, legal compliance and, most recently, the implementation of a large-scale EUDR project, where her focus has been on enabling organisations to build robust, transparent and sustainable systems for themselves.
Julie is passionate about sustainability and the vital role that credible, responsible supply chains play in the future of the timber industry. She takes great pride in sharing her knowledge and helping businesses develop confidence in their own processes and achievements.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys long walks with her dog, spending time with her five grandchildren, and pursuing her creative interests in reading and art.
